Flathead Lake Fishing Charter Rates
While this table may appear confusing at first glance, the rates and schedules below reflect the realities of prime fishing activity gathered over several years. Our spreadsheets and electronic fish maps show us where and when the best fishing opportunities arise.
While each year is different than the one proceeding, hot spots tend to repeat over time. Mapping and recording thousands of fish taken allows us to put you over the fish at the right time, and therefore maximize your fishing experience.
The schedule below is a general guideline, which we will adjust according to the current season’s weather trends. The rates reflect a “boat” fee – the same rate from one person or many, up to the boat’s capacity. We do not charge extra for extra passengers.

All gear and equipment provided. Please procure licenses prior to scheduled departure. Half days and evenings include snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments. Full day charters also include these as well as lunch on board. If a mid-day break is desirable, there are several very nice restaurants on the lake. Otherwise we keep on fishing. Charters can be customized for jigging or trolling or a combination of both. Your pleasure is our purpose.
When the whitefish are in…if the whitefish are in, this schedule allows for a great mid-day rodeo, riding the whitefish frenzy. Can you say 100 fish per hour?
Koocanusa Full Day Excursions: ($700.00)
|April 1 to May15||8am to Sunset|
|May 15 to June 15||10am to Sunset|
Summer fishing at Koocanusa is typically slow while Flathead Lake is performing at maximum. Call for more information if you would like to schedule a Koocanusa charter during the summer months.
|Sept 15 to Nov 30||9am to Sunset|
The big predators on this lake are mobile and dispersed. This requires a willingness on the part of the fisherman to spend time on the lake–meaning full-day charters are the only reasonable solution. We troll at 2.8 to 3.0 mph, thereby covering a lot of water on any given day. An average day of fishing Koocanusa means 10-15 strikes with one in three fish being Kamloops and the rest Bull Trout with an occasional pesky little Kokanee Salmon taking on a lure as big as he is.
We want you to have the greatest fishing experience of your life, so the more we know the better prepared we can be to fulfill your dreams. If you have a date in mind or want to see what’s available, please contact us or give us a call. Finally, our charter times are not set in stone. We seldom quit in the middle of a great bite.
